shopping online saves me all kinds of money on gas and can shop many stores, compare prices and make a better decision.  so that's bs ... they just want us to use more gas, more people are wiseing up and shopping online for everything they can and taking the car out less often, i know i am.  so .. nice try, i'm not buying it!!   

I live in a small town that is about 100 miles from the nearest city.  It does not have a lot of the things I need - starting with shoes for my narrow feet - and going to food and other nutritional items.  Not that they don't have "food" here - just the selection is limited.  So just due to the remoteness of this place, I resorted to catalog shopping for a long time.  The thing I like about internet shopping is you can compare different products and sources, shop for a good price, and have selections you might not otherwise have.  But for me, it is always something I try to do carefully.  I don't have enough money to be wasteful.  And I'm not too much into just having something because I can.  Everything seems to cost more than I expect these days, so it is still very easy to get too much on a credit card too quickly.  So, it is still something to keep an eye on.  Since I don't have the time, money, or inclination to run up and down the road every time I need something, I find internet shopping a big savings and a big help.
